Things My 9-Month-Old Loves

Overall, 9-month-old favorite toys are engaging, age-appropriate, and help little ones learn and grow through play. Here are some of my son's favorites!

Baby Einstein Musical Mix ‘N Roll 4-in-1 Push Walker, Activity Center, Toddler Table and Floor We were gifted this one at Christmas. Before my son was born, I told myself I'd stay away from noise making toys. Let's laugh. The music on this isn't actually bad. It's all classical and no words. (No Baby Shark) And watching him be a little DJ is pretty darn cute. Right now, he mostly plays with this on the floor, but it also transitions into a push walker or table. Let's go multi-use items!

Crinkle/Rattle Inchworm Toy This may actually be his favorite toy. It crinkles, it squeaks, it has a face. My son is into it. Notable mention: the antennas are rubber, which makes for a great teething toy as well.

Montessori Spinning Wheel A family signed us up for the viral Lovevery Montessori toys. It can be a bit much since we get a package of stuff about every month, but there's a lot of good things in there! My son liked this one right away. It makes a drumming noise as it spins and helped my

Baby Einstein Activity Jumper I'll be honest. I was a little annoyed when this was regifted to us because it had very vibrant colors and I knew it would clash with our living room. (Am I THAT mom?!) Fast forward, and I have zero clue how I would get anything done without this thing. It plays music, teaches my kid numbers in 3 different languages, is a safe spot for my son to be when I need to leave the room for a moment... I could go on and on. Get a jumper!

Silicone Teether This isn't the exact one that we have, but very close. Basically, anything with ridges will do! He just had his first tooth pop out and it's been a lifesaver.

Munchkin® Soft Tip™ Infant Spoons This seems like a weird one. But after my son is finished with lunch or dinner, he will entertain himself with the spoon as I clean up the kitchen. I think it actually is helpful developmentally and will actually help when he tries to feed himself in the future? I'm not an expert. But the dishes are clean. Of course, supervise with this one.

Montessori Ball Drop Tower Another Lovevery find. This one is similar. My son loves this one and a great toy for independent play. It was fun to watch him figure out how the ball drops and comes back. Then he can keep doing that again and again.
